I build backend & frontend systems for software that has to be right.
I'm Jake Yeatman, a .NET and cloud engineer. Since 2018 I've built ASP.NET Web APIs, microservices, and data layers across Azure, AWS, and GCP — a lot of it in healthcare IT, where reliability and careful data handling are the job, not an afterthought. I'm just as comfortable owning a component end to end as working in a team.

Who's behind it
I'm Jake. Since 2018 I've worked as a full-stack developer, mostly in .NET — building and maintaining the APIs, services, and databases that sit under larger products, along with the React front ends on top. Much of that has been in healthcare IT, which taught me to treat dependability and data handling as the point, not a nice-to-have.
I've shipped across all three major clouds — Azure, AWS, and GCP — with microservice architectures, CI/CD pipelines, and both relational and document databases. I like owning a piece end to end, and I care about writing things down so the next person isn't left guessing.
Outside work I'm into both physical and digital games and software for its own sake — I keep experimenting with new techniques, tools, and workflows to sharpen how I build.

How I work
In healthcare IT a quiet failure isn't an option. I build for dependability first, and treat data handling as part of the work rather than a box to tick.
I'm happy owning a component end to end or working closely alongside others — whichever the problem actually needs.
Documentation is how a system survives the next person. I try to leave things easier to pick up than I found them.
I keep trying new techniques, tools, and workflows — and I bring the same curiosity to games as I do to code.
